 ---- ----
-In an effort to standardize student drive mappings, all students in all buildings will now have the same 3 drive letters. These drive mappings are explained as follows:\\ \\ \\ Each student now has the following 3 drive letters I, S and T drive. For some this is nothing new and for others it may be an additional drive mapping.\\ \\ \\ **'I' Drive** = Is the DEPT (department) drive mapping. It is the same as the staff I drive however only folders that students have file rights to show up for them. This includes the hand-ins, pick-up and any 'special' folder(s) we have created on request. Students cannot see nor access the ALL STAFF or OFFICE folders.\\ \\ \\ **'S' Drive** = Is for students to 'pick-up' assignments or any other content that a staff member has placed within the folder (or a sub-folder contained within). Students only have READ rights to this location. They cannot delete, create, or modify anything in the S drive. This is a direct drive mapping to the same PICK-UP folder that appears with the staff/student 'I' drive mapping. With that said, the S Drive is the same as I:\Pick-Up. This drive mapping is created purely as a convenience for students and to promote district drive mapping standards.\\ \\ \\ **'T' Drive** = Is for students to 'hand-in' assignments or any other content that a staff member wish for them to place within this folder. The significance behind this location is that students only have the file rights to copy documents into this location (ie: from their personal H drives). This means that students cannot read, access, modify or copy anything from this location. This is ideal in preventing students from accessing other students hand-in material. This is a direct drive mapping to the same HAND-INS folder that appears with the staff/student 'I' drive mapping. With that said, the T Drive is the same as I:\Pick-Up. This drive mapping is created purely as a convenience for students and to promote district drive mapping standards.+
